Formulas sold under the brands Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare were recently recalled and have been linked to serious and sometimes deadly infections in infants, including cronobacter-related illnesses.

Your child ingested Similac, Similac PM 60/40, Alimentum, or EleCare powdered infant formula purchased from Jan. 1, 2019, onward and came down with a cronobacter-related infection, with or without a diagnosis or hospitalization.

Symptoms of cronobacter illnesses include:

• Abnormal body movements

• Fever
• Grunting breaths
